Lateral Corporate/Transactional Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Lateral Corporate/Transactional Attorney with 2-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background, a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School, and an active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Prompt ability to obtain admission in the State of Iowa is required.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and support on corporate and transactional matters.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct due diligence reviews for corporate transactions.
• Advise clients on corporate governance matters.
• Assist with mergers and acquisitions, financing transactions, and other corporate transactions.

Requirements:

• 2-6 years of experience in corporate and transactional law.
• Strong academic background with a J.D. from an ABA-Accredited Law School.
• Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Ability to promptly obtain admission in the State of Iowa.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-Accredited Law School.

Certifications:

Active attorney license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
