Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Chicago, IL, is actively seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate to contribute to its Toxic Tort and Product Liability team. Duties:

• Handle a docket of toxic tort and product liability cases independently, from initiation through final resolution

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and interpret statutes, case law, and regulatory guidance

• Draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and memoranda

• Prepare for and conduct depositions of fact and expert witnesses

• Represent clients in court appearances, including hearings and pre-trial matters

• Assist with e-discovery, document review, and case strategy development

• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams across jurisdictions

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois and good standing

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience

• Prior involvement in toxic tort or product liability matters is highly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision

• Experience conducting depositions and appearing in court

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Illinois State Bar (mandatory)

• Missouri Bar admission is advantageous but not required

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical capabilities

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Proficiency in litigation software and legal databases
