An established and fast-growing law firm in the Fresno, CA area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Immigration Attorney. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, engage directly with clients, and collaborate with attorneys and legal assistants to deliver strategic legal solutions.

Location:

• Fresno, California

Duties:

• Explain complex immigration concepts and propose strategic legal solutions

• Represent clients—both detained and non-detained—in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct client intakes, including visits to detention centers

• Prepare and review a wide range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions

• Submit legal briefs and filings for various immigration matters

• Meet with prospective clients for consultations and provide legal analysis on case benefits

• Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court and USCIS interviews

• Liaise with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations to discuss immigration law updates

• Manage an active caseload independently while coordinating with the legal team

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of experience practicing immigration law

• Admitted to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction

• Demonstrated ability to manage legal cases efficiently and independently

• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and collaborate with peers

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Familiarity with Case Management Software (preferred)

• Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in any U.S. state or jurisdiction

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of immigration law, particularly:

  • Family-Based Petitions

  • Humanitarian Visas

  • EOIR/Detained Proceedings

  • Citizenship and USCIS Applications

• Excellent legal writing and research skills

• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop legal strategies tailored to client needs

• Client-focused with strong presentation and consultation skills
