Duties

• Conduct file reviews and perform detailed legal analyses of claims and causes of action.

• Draft substantial briefs, legal memoranda, pleadings, and appellate documents.

• Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, and depositions.

• Draft and respond to discovery requests.

• Manage expert witness retention and collaboration.

• Engage in trial preparation and attend trials.

• Handle travel requirements as needed for case assignments.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general liability litigation; experience in other practice areas is a plus.

• Ability to independently manage a caseload and meet deadlines.

• Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent client interaction skills and professional telephone manner.

• Prompt responsiveness to communications including email and phone inquiries.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New York and New Jersey (both required).

• Additional state admissions are a plus but not mandatory.

Skills

• Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Proficiency in litigation case management.
