Duties

• Support mergers and acquisitions teams on health-related transactions.
• Negotiate and draft contracts for clients in the healthcare industry.
• Research state and federal licensure and certification requirements.
• Advise clients on healthcare regulatory compliance, including Stark Law, HIPAA, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Stay informed on healthcare regulatory developments and provide updates to clients.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of experience in transactional health law and regulatory matters.
• Strong academic performance, ranking in the top 30% of law school graduates.
• Excellent communication, organization, research, and analytical skills.
• Interest or background in healthcare or related healthcare experience is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Iowa Bar, or eligibility to waive in or sit for the Iowa bar exam.

• Proficiency in health law regulations and transactional matters.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle complex regulatory issues.
