Job Overview:

A respected law firm based in Mount Laurel, NJ, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its specialized litigation team. The role is ideal for legal professionals with a sharp eye for fraudulent activity in insurance claims and who are skilled in courtroom advocacy and investigative litigation. This opportunity involves representing clients in both defensive and affirmative legal actions, including complex cases involving fraudulent medical claims and racketeering allegations.

Duties:

• Collaborate closely with insurance fraud investigative units to address suspicious claims

• Initiate and litigate affirmative actions, including those under federal anti-racketeering statutes

• Manage files from inception to resolution, including strategy development

• Prepare legal pleadings, discovery requests, and motion practice

• Conduct examinations under oath, depositions, and coordinate expert testimony

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations

• Draft and argue pre- and post-trial motions in both state and federal venues

• Negotiate settlements and prepare all related documentation

• Participate in complex commercial and insurance-related litigation across multiple lines, including PIP, BI, UM, property damage, and workers' compensation claims

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience with an emphasis on insurance fraud or related areas

• Strong command of civil procedure and litigation practices in New Jersey

• Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and complex motion drafting

• Experience handling RICO-based or similar affirmative litigation is strongly preferred

• Courtroom experience in both trial and motion practice phases

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of New Jersey

• Admission to federal court is a plus
