A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Commercial Trial Practice Group in Omaha, NE. This role is ideal for an attorney with some litigation experience who is eager to develop their skills in complex commercial litigation. The position involves taking a substantive role in various cases, including general commercial disputes, mass torts, and product liability litigation, while collaborating with experienced partners and clients.

Duties

• Manage complex litigation matters in federal and state courts and arbitration forums nationwide.
• Handle client communications, motion practice, discovery, court appearances, mediations, and settlements.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions.

Requirements

• Desire to take on substantive roles in cases, including hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and exceptional research abilities.

Education

• Currently admitted to practice in Nebraska with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within one year.
• 1+ years of experience in civil litigation.
• Experience in complex business litigation, product liability, and other tort litigation preferred.
• Excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Nebraska or eligibility for admission within one year.
