Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents
• Represent clients in hearings, motions, trials, and appeals
• Assist senior attorneys with complex family law cases, including second-chairing trials
• Manage case files, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with legal procedures
• Maintain client communication, providing legal guidance and updates
• Stay informed on changes in family law and legal precedents
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop effective legal strategies

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing law
• Strong background in family law and litigation experience preferred
• Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Virginia Bar License (Required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle sensitive legal matters with professionalism and discretion
