Duties

• Manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
• Take and defend depositions, participate in mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Collaborate with partners on case strategy and client counseling.
• Supervise and mentor junior associates and paralegals.
• Maintain direct client contact and assist with business development efforts.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate with excellent academic credentials.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in Tennessee.
• Familiarity with federal and state court procedural rules and practices.
• Case management experience.
• Clear and effective drafting skills.
• Strong negotiating skills.
• Ability to learn new substantive legal topics as needed.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong organization and matter management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctorate

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Tennessee
