A respected immigration law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its legal team. This role is ideal for a newly licensed or early-career attorney looking to build a strong foundation in immigration law while gaining hands-on experience in both detained and non-detained client representation. Under the guidance of senior attorneys, the successful candidate will manage their own caseload, prepare legal filings, and appear before immigration courts and agencies.

Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct initial client intakes, including visits to detention facilities
Prepare and file various immigration applications including:
Family-based petitions
Removal defense applications
Humanitarian relief
USCIS filings
Present legal strategies and options to clients in a clear and accessible manner
Review and revise application packets prepared by support staff
Meet with prospective clients to conduct consultations and develop legal strategies
Prepare legal briefs and supporting documentation for immigration cases
Coordinate with community-based organizations, prosecutors, and law enforcement agencies regarding immigration law changes
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in immigration court and USCIS interviews
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Immigration Law (may include internships or supervised legal practice)
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented legal environment
Demonstrated organizational and case management skills
Commitment to client advocacy and legal excellence
Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
Familiarity with detained, EOIR, family-based, and humanitarian immigration cases
Experience with immigration case management software preferred
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in any U.S. state
In good standing with the applicable state bar
Strong written and oral communication skills
Legal research and writing proficiency
Ability to develop and implement effective legal strategies
Client interviewing and counseling skills
Courtroom presence and public speaking ability
Bilingual communication (English/Spanish) preferred
