Job Title: Trademark Associate Attorney (Clearance & Prosecution) 

Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in New York City is seeking a mid-level Trademark Associate to support a nationally recognized intellectual property practice. This role focuses on domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management, with a strong preference for candidates fluent in both Spanish and English. The position offers an opportunity to work with globally recognized clients and handle complex trademark matters in a high-volume, collaborative environment.

Duties:

• Manage U.S. and international trademark portfolios for prominent clients

• Conduct in-depth trademark clearance and risk assessments across jurisdictions

• Draft and file trademark applications and manage global prosecution strategies

• Advise on availability, registrability, and usage of marks

• Respond to USPTO office actions and coordinate with foreign counsel

• Support client counseling and strategy on brand protection and enforcement matters

• Interact with clients and external counsel in Spanish when required

• Handle docket management and maintain precise attention to detail across multiple deadlines

• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices and disciplines

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with trademark clearance and prosecution

• Demonstrated fluency in Spanish, both verbal and written

• Familiarity with managing international trademark filings and portfolios

• Experience handling high-profile or entertainment-related brands is advantageous

• Capable of working autonomously while balancing competing priorities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, with eligibility to waive into New York preferred

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Precision in drafting and reviewing legal documents

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish

• High degree of organization and responsiveness

• Ability to manage a fast-paced docket and deliver client-ready work product
