Job Overview:
A law firm located in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Associate Attorney to join their expanding corporate real estate practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney with 3–5 years of experience to work directly with clients, receive mentorship from a senior partner, and develop their legal expertise in a collaborative and supportive environment. Duties:
Provide legal services to clients in construction defects, community associations, and real estate transactions.
Conduct legal research and draft detailed legal documents, including motions, briefs, and client correspondence.
Assist in the preparation of cases for trial, including discovery, depositions, and pre-trial motions.
Represent clients in mediation, dispute resolutions, and other legal proceedings.
Maintain excellent relationships with clients and provide them with timely updates on case progress.
Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and staff to support the firm's legal practice.
Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements:
3–5 years of relevant legal experience, ideally in corporate real estate, construction defects, or community association law.
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Proactive attitude with a desire to grow and learn.
Experience in mediation, dispute resolution, and litigation preferred.
Trial experience is a plus.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the California State Bar (Required).
