A well-established law firm is seeking a Senior Trial Attorney for its New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator to manage complex insurance defense, general liability, construction, and premises liability cases, with significant trial responsibilities. Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, auto/transportation liability, construction (NYS Labor Law), and other litigation matters

• Handle all aspects of litigation from inception through trial

• Conduct and defend depositions, handle motion practice, court appearances, and hearings

• Prepare and examine witnesses effectively for trial

• Collaborate with attorneys, team members, and Partners on legal strategy and projects

• Communicate with clients by providing regular status updates, strategic advice, and legal counsel

• Prepare trial exhibits and evidence

• Participate in trial strategy discussions

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience

• Demonstrated trial experience preferred, particularly with personal injury, general liability, or tort cases

• Experience handling construction (NYS Labor Law 200, 240, 241) matters is highly desired

• Experience appearing in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials

• Ability to manage a caseload independently

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York
