Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload under the supervision of senior attorneys, from inception through resolution

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on transportation laws and related regulations

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other documents

• Attend and participate in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences

• Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients

• Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas

• Draft detailed case analysis reports for client stakeholders

Requirements

• 3–8 years of general casualty litigation experience

• Transportation, logistics, trucking, and related regulatory experience preferred

• Deposition and motion practice experience required

• Trial experience preferred but not mandatory

• Experience with emerging e-commerce and gig economy legal issues is a plus

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New York
