A reputable national law firm is seeking a highly motivated and skilled General Liability Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. The position offers the opportunity to defend complex cases in general liability, personal injury, premises liability, and other related areas. 

Location

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution

• Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys on complex legal projects

• Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, and mediations

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other case documents

• Communicate effectively with clients and provide regular case status updates

• Assist with developing case strategies and settlement evaluations

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, including handling general liability, personal injury, and premises liability cases

• Prior experience in trucking-related litigation, construction/labor law, or transportation matters preferred

• Strong understanding of litigation procedures and court practices

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Demonstrated commitment to delivering high-quality client service

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New York

Skills

• Exceptional written and oral communication abilities

• Superior analytical and legal research skills

• Strong organizational and case management skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

• Familiarity with legal project management practices is a plus
