A well-established law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Associate to join its Raleigh, North Carolina office. The firm has a robust litigation practice, handling significant matters both regionally and nationally. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex business disputes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have federal court clerk experience and a strong foundation in business litigation.

Location:

• Raleigh, North Carolina

Duties:

• Handle complex business disputes, working on significant matters in North Carolina and nationwide.
• Draft and prepare motions, briefs, deposition outlines, and exhibits.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Manage e-discovery processes and document review.
• Participate in depositions, court hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support teams on case management.
• Investigate facts and prepare witnesses for deposition or trial testimony.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in business litigation.
• Federal court clerk experience required.
• Strong writing skills and deposition and court experience preferred.
• Experience with e-discovery and legal research.
• Ability to manage complex litigation tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed in North Carolina.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• North Carolina Bar membership (or eligibility to be immediately licensed).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing abilities.
• Knowledge of complex business disputes and litigation processes.
• Expertise in e-discovery and document management.
• Ability to manage depositions, court appearances, and trial preparations.
• Effective fact investigation and witness preparation skills.
