A reputable law firm based in Roseland, New Jersey, is seeking a Family Law Associate with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Location:

• Roseland, NJ

Duties:

• Draft Case Information Statements (CIS), pleadings, agreements, court orders, and related documents

• Calculate child support and assist in financial evaluations for family law cases

• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for trial and appellate proceedings

• Manage daily case responsibilities including client communications and document preparation

• Handle dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, motion practice, and trial/arbitration

• Maintain and build strong client relationships

• Participate in strategy meetings and case planning

• Collaborate with colleagues, clients, and opposing counsel on case development

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in family law practice

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, legal practice management platforms, and e-discovery tools

• Strong analytical, writing, and oral communication skills

• Client-centric approach and a high level of ethical standards

• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required)

• Admission to the New York Bar (preferred, not required)

Skills:

• Familiarity with New Jersey family law procedures

• Effective negotiation and courtroom advocacy skills

• Strong attention to detail in legal drafting and financial analysis
