The role offers the opportunity to lead complex litigation matters and provide strategic counsel to clients in the energy and natural resources sector.

Duties

• Represent clients in litigation involving oil & gas operations, mineral rights, royalties, leases, regulatory compliance, and environmental issues.
• Manage all phases of litigation including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Appear in state and federal courts, as well as before regulatory and administrative bodies.
• Provide legal counsel on energy sector disputes involving contracts, joint ventures, and infrastructure development.
• Draft legal documents including briefs, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct in-depth legal research related to energy law and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with experts, engineers, and consultants to support case development.
• Advise corporate clients on litigation risk, mitigation strategies, and compliance obligations.

Requirements

• 10 years of litigation experience, with a strong focus in the energy and oil & gas sectors.
• Demonstrated success handling complex, high-stakes litigation.
• In-depth understanding of industry-specific regulations and practices.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and work independently or in a team.
• Strong courtroom and negotiation experience.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Georgia State Bar (in good standing).
• Admission to federal courts in Georgia preferred.
