Job Overview:
A Charlotte-based law firm is seeking a dedicated Family Law Attorney to join its litigation team. The role involves managing legal matters related to domestic relations, negotiating settlements, and advocating for clients in court. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact clients' lives during significant personal transitions while working in a collaborative and supportive legal environment.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support disputes

• Draft, file, and argue motions, pleadings, and other legal documents

• Develop litigation strategies tailored to individual client needs

• Maintain thorough documentation of all client interactions and case developments

• Engage in pre-trial and trial proceedings, including discovery and mediation

• Foster trust-based relationships through professional communication and guidance

• Participate in firm-sponsored initiatives to enhance legal service delivery

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in North Carolina

• Prior experience in family law matters, such as custody or divorce litigation

• Familiarity with courtroom procedures and civil litigation standards

• Ability to work independently and manage a robust caseload

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar
