Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in Asbestos litigation to join its growing Mass Torts & Industry-wide Litigation team in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will be passionate about pursuing long-term growth within the legal field, thriving in a collaborative environment, and contributing to complex litigation matters.

Duties:

• Represent clients in Asbestos-related litigation, including discovery, motions, depositions, and trial preparation
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal arguments
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and trial briefs
• Engage in case management from inception to resolution, ensuring timely execution of all tasks
• Conduct legal research and provide informed legal advice to clients
• Assist in depositions, hearings, and trials as needed
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and experts to advance case objectives
• Stay current with industry trends and evolving case law relevant to Asbestos litigation

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in Asbestos litigation or similar complex personal injury cases
• Proven experience with mass torts and multidistrict litigation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (or eligible to become licensed in PA)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
• Knowledge of the rules of civil procedure and litigation practices
• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
• Ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
• Client-focused approach to legal services
• Comfort with handling complex litigation cases with significant exposure
