  • Handle complex federal litigation, including FOIA and mandamus cases, with an emphasis on strategic legal research and analysis.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in preparing and presenting cases before administrative bodies and courts.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on administrative law issues, particularly those involving federal agencies and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal briefs, motions, and memoranda.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the firm’s specialized system and contribute to its continued success and expansion in administrative litigation.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, assess risks, and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Stay up to date with developments in administrative law, including updates to federal regulations, policies, and case law.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 3-4 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in administrative law and federal litigation.
  • Proven experience in administrative litigation, especially related to the U.S. Department of Labor, is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience clerking for a federal ALJ or working closely with administrative law judges is highly valued.
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) and administrative law procedures.
  • A demonstrated interest in immigration law is a plus.
  • Fluency in Spanish is appreciated, though not required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a commitment to professional growth.

Education & Certifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in Washington, DC, or eligibility to waive into the DC bar.

Additional Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple cases simultaneously.
