A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Torrance, CA, to join a dynamic employment litigation team. The role involves managing complex Wage & Hour Class Action and PAGA matters, providing an opportunity to work with experienced litigators and develop strategic legal skills.

Duties

• Manage a docket of Wage & Hour Class Action and PAGA matters with senior attorney support.
• Develop case strategies for state and federal court matters in California.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and mediation briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Represent clients at hearings and mediations.
• Collaborate with legal teams to resolve cases.
• Communicate with clients about case developments.
• Contribute to trial preparation and litigation phases.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in Wage & Hour, PAGA, or Class Action matters.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Strong litigation, research, and analytical skills.
• Persuasive written and oral advocacy abilities.
• Sound judgment and ability to handle complex situations.
• High level of ownership and attention to detail.
• Experience in depositions, mediations, or motion hearings preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California State Bar membership.
