Job Overview
A prestigious law firm based in Dallas, TX, is currently seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Associate to join their construction and commercial litigation team. The firm is recognized for its dynamic team, diverse work environment, and collaborative atmosphere. The successful candidate will handle high-stakes cases, primarily within the construction sector, while contributing to the firm's overall success in the commercial litigation landscape.

Duties

• Manage and litigate complex construction-related disputes, including but not limited to contract issues, project delays, and construction defects.
• Draft and argue motions in court, ensuring a compelling presentation of the client’s interests.
• Take and defend depositions, preparing and presenting discovery.
• Work collaboratively with a team of associates and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies.
• Assist in preparing for trials, including case preparation, witness preparation, and courtroom representation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and advice on case status.
• Work under tight deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with at least 3 years specifically focused on construction law.
• Experience in drafting, arguing, and defending motions, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Ability to handle multiple complex cases simultaneously, with a focus on detail and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in legal writing and client interaction.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while meeting deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Texas State Bar License (Required).
