A boutique law firm with a strong international litigation practice is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney for its New York office. This role involves working on complex litigation matters in the defense, insurance, maritime, aviation, and construction sectors. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, ready to take on significant responsibilities and gain immediate exposure to active litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with partners, develop case strategies, and participate in all phases of litigation.

Location:

Duties:

• Conduct fact investigations and legal research
• Draft legal opinions, motions, and other court documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage discovery processes and document review
• Develop and execute case strategies
• Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to ensure high-quality representation

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of litigation experience
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills
• Excellent research, writing, analytical, and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (must be in good standing)

Skills:

• Litigation and trial preparation experience
• Legal research and writing proficiency
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with legal teams
