This hybrid position is ideal for attorneys who are passionate about family law but prefer a role outside of traditional litigation. You will consult with prospective clients, using your legal expertise to help them navigate the family law process in Florida and determine if the firm’s services are the right fit for their needs. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact without the demands of caseloads or court appearances, with a focus on client acquisition and consultations.

Duties:

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients, usually via Zoom, to assess their needs and explain how the firm’s services can assist them.
  • Guide potential clients through the family law process, providing legal insight and advice on their situation.
  • Manage the client intake process, ensuring that qualified candidates are scheduled for consultations.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for new clients, advocating for the firm’s services and demonstrating the value it brings.
  • Meet and exceed key performance goals related to new client acquisition, conversion rates, and other metrics.
  • Maintain excellent communication with prospective clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during the consultation process.
  • Occasionally meet clients in person at the Miami office for consultations, when requested.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from consultation to client onboarding, collaborating with the team to ensure continuity of services.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a licensed attorney, with a focus on consultations or client-facing roles.
  • Prior experience in Florida Family Law is preferred, as it will enhance your ability to advise prospective clients effectively.
  • Strong ability to conduct consultations, explain legal processes, and convert prospects into clients.
  • Fluent in conversational Spanish to engage with a diverse client base.
  • An active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • Client-focused with the ability to build rapport and establish trust quickly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Sales experience is a plus, as the role involves meeting business goals related to client acquisition.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of Florida Family Law and the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong client relations and consultation skills, with a focus on converting prospects into clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment with occasional in-person meetings.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle a mix of remote and in-office responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own schedule, and meet business development goals.
  • Conversational Spanish is required to effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking clients.

Benefits:

  • Health insurance coverage.
  • Life insurance policy.
  • Paid time off (PTO) to support work-life balance.
  • Parental leave to support family needs.
  • Retirement plan with firm contributions.

This is a unique opportunity for a Florida-licensed attorney who is looking to use their legal expertise in a client-focused, non-litigation role. The firm offers a flexible hybrid work environment and a supportive, team-oriented culture.
