Paralegal

The candidate will assist members of the legal department to draft, negotiate and close financing and other (development, M&A, other) transactions, including finalizing deliverables, and assembly of execution copies. Perform routine filings and compliance work related to permitting projects. Assist members of the legal in the development and review of data rooms. Develop and maintain a file indexing system that can be used as an active archive for all ongoing and completed transactions. Draft resolutions, certificates and other documents for review by attorneys, based on case specifications and attorney requests. Monitor changes to government guidelines or regulations and submits reports on pertinent changes as requested by attorneys. Perform routine communications with outside counsel and service providers, as well as the internal development team to compile deliverables for various transactions under the guidance and direction of attorneys. Assist members of the legal in the preparation and review of securities law filings. Maintain and organize corporate documents, and minute books. etc. Keep up to date on technology and suggest ways to utilize it in company operations. Perform other duties as needed to support the legal department and the development and financing of projects for Ameresco, Inc. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of related work experience is needed. Previous corporate paralegal experience or experience in an office setting is a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Excellent communication, writing and proofreading skills are needed. Strong organizational and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple tasks. Strong project management skills are required. Should have the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
