Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented attorney to join its Workers' Compensation Defense team. This role involves working closely with a well-established group of litigators on complex matters related to workplace injury claims. The ideal candidate will be passionate about defense work, eager to grow in a collaborative environment, and ready to engage in meaningful client advocacy.

Duties:

• Represent employers, insurers, and third-party administrators in all stages of workers’ compensation litigation

• Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials before administrative law judges

• Analyze medical records and employment documentation to prepare legal strategies

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda

• Advise clients on case developments, risk assessment, and resolution strategies

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to manage caseload effectively

• Participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and client development activities

Requirements:

• Admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia or sitting for the 2025 Georgia Bar

• At least one year of experience in workers’ compensation defense preferred

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities

• Professionalism and a commitment to high-quality client service

Education:

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• State Bar of Georgia membership in good standing (or pending admission)

Skills:

• In-depth understanding of Georgia Workers’ Compensation statutes and procedures

• Case management and litigation strategy development

• Ability to interpret complex medical and employment information

• Communication skills tailored for client interaction and courtroom presentation

• Proficiency with legal practice technology and document management systems

Job Location:

• Atlanta, GA

• On-site presence expected for a minimum of four days per week
