Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney

A law firm in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its energy and natural resources strategic business unit. The ideal candidate will primarily collaborate with attorneys in this unit and should possess at least 5 years of experience in wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions. They must demonstrate proficiency in leading scopes of work within a team and managing junior attorneys. Excellent academic credentials, a commitment to the community, and superior interpersonal skills are highly desired. The candidate must have an active Bar license or be willing to obtain one promptly.

Duties:

• Collaborate primarily with attorneys in the energy and natural resources strategic business unit.
• Handle wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Lead scopes of work within a team and manage junior attorneys.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide legal advice.
• Participate in negotiations and due diligence processes.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, preferably in renewable energy real estate.
• Experience with wind, solar, and/or battery storage real estate transactions.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Active TN Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active TN Bar license or commitment to obtaining one promptly.
