A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney for a remote position, preferably based in San Francisco, San Jose, or the surrounding area. The role involves defending general liability, premises liability, and commercial automobile claims within our active California insurance defense practice.

Duties

• Manage cases from inception through trial, including case and risk assessment.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, and depositions.
• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, claims professionals, and opposing counsel.
• Consistently enter billable time entries daily.

Requirements

• License to practice law in California.
• Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience in third-party insurance defense claims.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances and site inspections.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Education

• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• California license to practice law.
