Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced construction litigation attorney for its Dallas, TX office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in construction law, litigation, arbitration, contracts, insurance issues, and business disputes. The role requires the ability to assume both 1st chair and 2nd chair responsibilities in construction cases.

Duties

• Assist and collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation matters.
• Accept assignments as a first chair litigation attorney, as well as some second chair assignments.
• Manage projects and cases from start to finish.
• Conduct and defend depositions, prepare and respond to discovery, and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Perform legal research and analysis.
• Attend hearings, mediations, trials, and arbitration.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Prior litigation and trial experience as a 1st chair attorney.
• Experience in analyzing, reviewing, editing, and drafting legal documents.
• Superior logical reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Experience conducting and defending depositions.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with, and meet the expectations of, clients who demand excellence.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice in Texas.
