A growing law firm based in Dallas, Texas is seeking an Immigration Associate Attorney with a passion for advocacy and a commitment to helping individuals navigate complex immigration processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in family-based and humanitarian immigration law and will contribute to case strategy, client representation, and support of non-attorney team members. Duties
Identify and evaluate immigration relief options for clients
Develop legal strategies to resolve challenging immigration cases
Supervise and serve as a legal resource for assigned non-attorney staff
Review, audit, and edit applications and supporting documentation prepared by legal team members
Provide legal training and enforce ethical standards across the legal support team
Respond to legal questions and ensure high-quality legal service delivery
Draft and review USCIS and consular applications including family and humanitarian filings
Prepare responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs)
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes relevant to immigration law
Participate in client interview preparation and legal operations improvement initiatives
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in immigration law with a focus on humanitarian and family-based cases
Prior experience supporting and training legal support staff
Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently and effectively
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Education
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications
Active license to practice law and member in good standing of any U.S. state bar
Skills
Proficient in preparing a wide range of applications: VAWA, T-Visas, U-Visas, Asylum, I-130, N-400, DS-260, DS-160, I-601 waivers, and Medical Deferred Action
Familiarity with both USCIS processes and consular processing
Experience preparing clients for interviews and managing RFEs/NOIDs
Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
Immigration court experience is a plus
