Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Los Angeles, CA, is expanding its appellate litigation team and seeks a seasoned associate with a strong foundation in appellate and general liability matters. Duties:

• Draft appellate briefs and conduct oral arguments before appellate courts

• Handle substantive legal research and complex motion practice

• Advise trial counsel on preserving appellate issues

• Analyze trial records for appealable issues and develop appellate strategies

• Collaborate with colleagues across offices to ensure consistency in legal strategy and client service

• Engage in leadership opportunities across firm initiatives and committees

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience handling appellate or general liability litigation

• Proven ability to work independently and manage a docket of appellate matters

• Track record of professional stability and strong references

• Admission to the California Bar in good standing

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• An active California State Bar license is required
