Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in family law cases, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and property division.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analyze case law relevant to family law matters.
• Provide compassionate and professional counsel to clients, guiding them through emotionally challenging situations.
• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediation sessions, demonstrating excellent courtroom advocacy skills.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and attorneys.
• Collaborate with financial experts, forensic accountants, and other professionals to handle complex financial issues related to asset division and support.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, case progress, and legal proceedings.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing family law.
• Strong courtroom experience, including trial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex family law matters involving financial assets and child-related issues.

Certifications and Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
• Family law certification or specialization preferred.
