Associate Attorney needed for New York City office

A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney for its New York City office. The Associate Attorney will work closely with lead attorneys on all phases of litigation, emphasizing strategic thinking to meet client objectives. Exceptional research and writing skills are required, and the candidate must be admitted to the New York State Bar.

Duties:

• Collaborate with lead attorneys on case evaluation, reporting, discovery, depositions, and trial presentation.
• Conducted legal research and drafted legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Analyze complex legal issues and provide strategic guidance to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Assisted in developing case strategies and participated in settlement negotiations.
• Maintain organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Admitted to the New York State Bar with no exceptions.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in litigation, including New York labor law.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Knowledge of New York labor law and civil procedure.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
