Duties

• Manage a litigation docket from pre-suit through trial.
• Take and defend depositions, argue hearings, attend mediations, and try cases to verdict.
• Develop case strategy to maximize settlement and trial outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements and advocate fiercely for clients.
• Supervise support staff and collaborate with the litigation team.

Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license (Texas Bar a plus).
• First chair trial experience required; must have tried civil jury cases to verdict.
• Background in personal injury litigation, first-party property insurance litigation, or both.
• Former defense attorneys with trial experience highly encouraged to apply.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Florida Bar license.

Skills

• Strong legal writing, oral advocacy, and organizational skills.
