The role involves handling a wide range of personal injury matters from case intake through trial, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and product liability claims.

Duties

• Represent plaintiff clients in personal injury matters including:

  • Motor vehicle accidents

  • Premises liability

  • Product liability

• Handle cases from initial pleadings through trial

• Draft litigation documents including complaints, motions, memoranda, and discovery requests/responses

• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, witnesses, and experts

• Attend and prepare for mediations, hearings, and court appearances

• Guide clients through the litigation process, providing regular updates and legal counsel

• Engage with expert witnesses to develop reports, affidavits, and trial strategy

• Review and summarize medical records

• Manage trial preparation including drafting of special verdict forms, jury instructions, and pretrial motions

• Conduct law and motion practice, including oppositions and arguments on summary judgment, demurrers, and discovery motions

• Supervise and collaborate with a team of paralegals and support staff

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in personal injury law

• Trial experience required, including pretrial preparation and courtroom appearances

• Ability to handle a high volume of cases independently

• Proven ability to mentor or supervise paralegal staff

• Strong commitment to client service and legal excellence

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the State Bar of California (required)

Skills

• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to manage deadlines and multitask across complex litigation schedules

• Fluent Spanish speaking ability is a plus

• Comfortable handling complex settlements and high-pressure situations
