A law firm seeks an experienced Plaintiff-Side Employment Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. This role involves leading the development of a new practice area focused on employment law. The ideal candidate is passionate about employee rights and eager to shape a new department within a well-established firm.

Duties

• Handle plaintiff-side employment law matters from intake through resolution.
• Assist in building and developing an intake team and process.
• Develop a prelitigation strategy with the managing partner.
• Manage cases involving wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, harassment, retaliation, and discrimination.
• Lead litigation strategy, including depositions, mediations, hearings, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to develop systems, workflows, and department structure.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the California Bar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plaintiff-side employment litigation.
• Deep knowledge of California labor laws and employment litigation procedures.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage a full caseload.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in launching and growing a new department.
• Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California Bar License.
