Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Santa Monica is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling complex commercial litigation matters, including trial preparation, motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, hearings, and witness examination. Prior experience in commercial construction or real estate litigation (excluding defect cases) is preferred. Duties:

• Develop and execute litigation strategies for commercial and construction-related disputes.
• Lead and conduct depositions, motion practices, and pre-trial activities.
• Represent clients in arbitrations, hearings, and other key litigation events.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to assess case strategy and legal options.
• Participate in trial preparation and provide support throughout litigation processes.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality work.
• Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and strategic counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in commercial litigation or related practice areas.
• Proven experience in trial preparation, depositions, and legal strategy.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a high caseload.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to think critically, solve complex legal issues, and exercise sound judgment.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the California State Bar.
