A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have two to three years of experience in handling cases across all phases of litigation, including legal research, drafting pleadings, and trial preparation. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters and develop strategic advocacy skills.

Duties

• Handle litigation matters through all phases, including pre-litigation strategy and trial preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests and responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions, and prepare witnesses for hearings.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on disputes.
• Appear at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Collaborate with partners and clients to develop litigation strategy.
• Prepare matters for mediation and trial, including coordinating key tasks.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts to advance cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 2-3 years of complex commercial litigation experience.
• Experience drafting dispositive and non-dispositive motions.
• Deposition experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
