Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team. This role provides an opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil litigation matters, including personal injury, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, landlord-tenant disputes, and construction defect cases. The firm fosters a collaborative work environment where attorneys gain hands-on experience in all stages of litigation, from case initiation through trial.

Duties

• Handle all phases of civil litigation, including case strategy development.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda.

• Conduct legal research to support case arguments.

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.

• Collaborate with expert witnesses and consultants.

• Engage in settlement negotiations and trial preparation.

• Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of litigation experience preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet deadlines.

• Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar.
