Duties:

• Serve as lead attorney for criminal cases in Key West, Marathon, and Plantation Key.
• Conduct thorough case assessments, devise defense strategies, and prepare clients for court appearances.
• Represent clients at all stages of criminal proceedings, including hearings, plea hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials.
• Analyze legal issues and advise clients on the best course of action.
• Maintain organized files to ensure up-to-date information is accessible for team collaboration.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Resolve cases through effective communication with clients and prosecutors.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, providing empathetic communication and regular case updates.
• Uphold high ethical standards in all professional conduct.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense within Florida.
• Extensive courtroom experience and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
• Proven track record of success in handling a variety of criminal defense matters.
• Strong client relationship skills with a focus on compassionate service.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida Bar.

Certifications:

• Florida Bar License.
