The candidate must have experience with rezonings, special use permits, comprehensive plan amendments, conditional zoning, be licensed in Virginia, and a graduate of an accredited law school. Experience with zoning and land use practice, including the ability to work with all levels of city, town, and county government staff and elected officials in multiple jurisdictions. Excellent writing/editing, research and analysis (qualitative and quantitative), communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills. The willingness and ability to attend night meetings (planning commissions, governing bodies, citizen outreach, etc.).
