Job Overview

A law firm seeks an accomplished and versatile Senior Litigation Attorney to join its team, specializing in complex litigation and advisory work for a diverse client base that includes individuals, small businesses, corporate entities, and non-profit organizations. This role focuses heavily on cases related to real estate, homeowner associations, and general business disputes.

Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, discovery documents, motions, briefs, and case summaries
• Prepare for and actively participate in depositions, mediations, and court proceedings
• Develop litigation strategies that align with clients’ business goals and risk tolerance
• Provide legal counsel on business operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance, particularly for clients in the real estate and homeowners association sectors
• Manage litigation files independently from initiation through resolution
• Collaborate with clients, expert witnesses, and internal teams to ensure comprehensive case preparation
• Offer leadership and mentorship to junior attorneys, fostering a collaborative learning environment
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring clear communication and strategic alignment throughout the litigation process

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience handling complex litigation matters, with particular focus on real property disputes, homeowners association cases, and business litigation
• Proven ability to manage high-stakes cases independently, from intake through final resolution
• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex legal and business issues and translate them into effective legal strategies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for client counseling, courtroom advocacy, and legal drafting
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience advising corporate clients and property owners on both litigation and general counsel matters is preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California
