A well-established law firm based in Charleston, SC, is looking to onboard a Litigation Associate with a focus on complex commercial and business-related disputes. Duties:

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and legal memoranda

• Manage case files and support strategic planning from pre-suit through trial

• Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal and factual issues

• Appear at hearings, depositions, and mediations as appropriate

• Collaborate with partners and senior associates on trial preparation

• Maintain regular communication with clients and keep them informed on case status

• Participate in negotiations, settlement discussions, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings

Requirements:

• 1 to 3 years of litigation experience, ideally in commercial or business disputes

• Admitted to practice law in South Carolina and good standing

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong analytical thinking and persuasive writing skills

• Courtroom experience and comfort with oral advocacy are advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice in the state of South Carolina

Skills:

• Excellent legal research and writing proficiency

• Familiarity with the rules of civil procedure at the state and federal levels

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing litigation demands

• Strong client service orientation and interpersonal communication

• Detail-focused with organizational discipline and time management capabilities
