Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in Chicago is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience handling first-party property defense and/or casualty/liability defense matters. The candidate must have a Florida Bar license and possess strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a solid work ethic. The position offers hybrid remote work location.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters, including first-party property defense and casualty/liability defense
• Conduct legal research and analysis
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, depositions, and settlement conferences
• Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and internal team members
• Manage discovery processes, including document review and production
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy development and implementation
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on litigation-related issues

Requirements:

• Florida Bar license
• 3-6 years of experience in handling first-party property defense and/or casualty/liability defense matters
• Strong analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Solid work ethic

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Florida Bar license

Skills:
