A law firm seeks an Insurance Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Insurance Practice Group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate transactions and insurance regulatory matters.

Duties

• Represent insurers, reinsurers, and other insurance-related entities in transactions and restructurings.
• Advise clients on compliance with complex insurance regulatory laws.
• Conduct due diligence related to insurance regulatory issues in M&A transactions.
• Draft sophisticated legal documents and manage multiple transactions.
• Interact directly with partners and clients.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional work ethic.

Education

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active member of the Bar in the jurisdiction(s) of practice.

Skills

• Experience in corporate transactions and insurance regulatory matters.
• Ability to manage complex projects and transactions.
• Strong drafting and communication skills.
