Junior to Mid-Level Structured Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join its Structured Finance practice. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex derivatives and structured finance matters across a range of industries, supporting transactions involving ISDA documentation and regulatory protocols. The role provides flexibility through a hybrid work model and is open to candidates in multiple major U.S. markets.

Location:

• New York, NY

Duties:

• Draft and negotiate ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules, Credit Support Annexes, Confirmations, and related documentation

• Advise clients on over-the-counter derivatives and compliance with ISDA protocols, including Dodd-Frank

• Support structured finance transactions with cross-functional teams and clients

• Conduct legal research and analysis to support documentation and risk management

• Communicate effectively with clients, internal legal teams, and third parties

• Deliver timely and accurate work product while meeting multiple deadlines

• Participate in client meetings, transaction closings, and internal strategy discussions

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience in derivatives and structured finance

• Experience with ISDA documentation, including regulatory compliance frameworks

• Familiarity with over-the-counter derivatives and relevant market practices

• Previous experience at an AmLaw 100 or similarly ranked law firm preferred

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state corresponding to the office location (NY, IL, CA, or TX)

• Must be in good standing with the applicable State Bar
