Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Charlotte is actively seeking a seasoned attorney to join its growing legal team, focusing on aviation financing and aircraft transactions. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to engage in sophisticated commercial aircraft deals on both domestic and international levels. The successful candidate will support a diverse client base, including financial institutions and lessors, through complex leasing, sales, and financing arrangements. This position is being recruited by a legal search and staffing firm on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Duties:

• Advise clients in commercial aircraft leasing, acquisition, and financing matters

• Manage all phases of domestic and cross-border aviation transactions

• Draft and negotiate complex agreements including leases, purchase contracts, and financing documentation

• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory and transactional compliance

• Coordinate with international counsel on multi-jurisdictional issues

• Provide legal insights related to aviation industry developments and regulatory updates

Requirements:

• 4-6+ years of experience in aviation finance or similar commercial lending/transactional practice

• Proven ability to independently manage transactions with minimal supervision

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical capabilities

• Familiarity with cross-border legal frameworks and financial structuring

• Client-centric mindset with excellent communication skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or international equivalent from an accredited institution

Certifications:

• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar

• Eligibility for admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred

Skills:

• Deep understanding of commercial finance law with an emphasis on aviation

• Experience with both domestic and international transactions
