Job Overview:
A law firm seeks two Associate Attorneys to join its Leesburg, VA office, specializing in Real Estate law, including land use, development, commercial sales, and leasing. The ideal candidates will have a connection to Loudoun County and be licensed to practice law in Virginia. These roles provide an excellent opportunity for dedicated professionals to work closely with partners, manage individual caseloads, and contribute to the firm's success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis to aid in case preparation and strategy.
• Draft and review a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts, ensuring alignment with current legal standards.
• Negotiate settlements and agreements, advocating for clients' interests in all discussions.
• Assist in litigation by preparing evidence, arguments, and trial strategies.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and participate in client meetings to provide updates and discuss options.
• Organize case files and maintain documentation to support efficient case management.
• Stay informed about updates to legislation and case law that impact real estate and land use practice areas.

Requirements:

• Active Bar License in Virginia.
• Minimum of one year of experience in legal drafting and research; familiarity with Lexis-Nexis preferred.
• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment while independently managing a caseload.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Virginia State Bar.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting, with experience in tools like Lexis-Nexis.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective client advocacy.
