A respected national litigation firm is seeking a seasoned General Liability Of Counsel Attorney for its Los Angeles office. This position is ideal for an experienced litigator ready to handle high-level defense work involving catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, and related general liability matters. This role offers flexibility through hybrid or fully remote arrangements and provides the opportunity to independently manage complex cases from start to finish.

Location

• Los Angeles, California

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and complex legal documents

• Handle court appearances, mediations, and depositions

• Collaborate with attorneys and support teams across offices and departments

• Independently manage a caseload from initiation through resolution

• Develop litigation strategy, provide legal analysis, and maintain client communications

• Prepare case status reports and contribute to case budgeting and planning

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of relevant litigation experience

• Experience managing all aspects of defense litigation

• Prior exposure to catastrophic injury, product liability, habitability, and transportation litigation

• Proven success managing multiple complex matters simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a team

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of California

• Must be in good standing with the California Bar

Skills

• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presence

• Skilled in deposition strategy and execution

• Proficient with litigation software and legal research tools

• Ability to mentor junior associates and contribute to collaborative teams

• Strong organizational and case management abilities
